Workplace Culture Matters
“Culture eats strategy for breakfast, operational excellence for lunch and everything else for dinner.” – Peter Drucker.
At Meraki we’ve been discussing our strategy and culture a lot lately. Specifically, which is more important – culture or strategy?
While studies show there is a direct correlation between a healthy, productive culture and a company’s performance / bottom line, the majority spend little time thinking about it.
We strongly believe Culture, Strategy and Operational Excellence are all important critical success factors BUT culture is critical for executing strategy. Culture can be a great enabler of organisational change.
We’ve learned lessons from our experiences, and as we grow, we don’t want to just let a culture happen/form on its own. We want it to be a part of everything we do – our DNA.
We believe in “walking the walk” and “rewarding the walk”. We are creating a positive, inclusive, transparent and respectful workplace culture that will inspire our team and help us make transformational change.
